The action kicks off on April 27th, running from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, offering Trainers a prime opportunity to stock up on icy encounters.
During the event window, Vanillite will appear far more frequently in the wild—so keep your eyes peeled as you explore parks, neighborhoods, and hotspots. There’s also a chance you could stumble upon its elusive Shiny variant, adding an extra layer of excitement to your catch list.
But the real magic happens if you evolve Vanillite into Vanilluxe. Do so either during the event or before May 4th, and your Vanilluxe will learn the powerful Charged Attack Avalanche. In Trainer Battles, it strikes with 90 power, while in Gyms and Raids, it delivers 85 power—making it a solid contender for competitive play.
For those looking to dive deeper into the frost-themed festivities, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for only $2 USD. Completing the tasks unlocks a unique experience, including encounters with Vanillite that feature a special Might and Mastery-themed background, bonus Vanillite sightings, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and other valuable rewards.
Even after the main event, the cold weather lingers through a Timed Research quest available until the following week. This gives you another shot at catching a Vanillite with the exclusive event backdrop.
