What is Snap Recap?
Unlike detailed statistical recaps from other apps like Spotify Wrapped, Snap Recap presents a curated selection of your Snaps. It chooses one Snap to represent each month of 2024, creating a visual journey through your year. This slideshow seamlessly transitions into your Snapchat Memories, allowing you to explore past events.
How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap
Your 2024 Snap Recap is automatically generated. To view it:
- On the main Snapchat camera screen, swipe up to access Memories (don't press the shutter button).
- Look for "Your 2024 Snap Recap"—a highlighted video, usually at the top of the Memories screen.
Tap the recap (avoiding the share icon) to play. The slideshow auto-advances, but you can tap the screen to navigate. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story.
Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?
If your Snap Recap isn't showing up, don't worry. Snapchat's rollout is gradual. The number of Snaps saved throughout the year is a factor in recap generation. If you haven't been using Snapchat regularly, you may not have one. Unfortunately, you can't request a recap if it doesn't appear.
