In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter seeking solace and recovery by managing a charming tea shop nestled in a magical forest. The tea shop draws a diverse clientele, some of whom crave coffee, a beverage not traditionally on offer. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

In the game's fourth cycle, a striking humanoid bird visits the shop and requests a refined cup of tea. Following this, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry enter the shop. Dressed in suits and carrying briefcases, they are en route to a boardroom for a presentation. Despite being informed by Alta that they are off course, they refuse her offer of tea, insisting on coffee. Surprisingly, they choose to stay at the shop, waiting for coffee to become available.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. The situation shifts when an interdimensional figure named Zenith arrives, following the businessmen. Zenith finds the businessmen intriguing and, unlike them, is willing to try Alta's tea. This encounter marks the beginning of the journey to introduce coffee to the forest.

To unlock coffee beans, players must craft a special tea for Zenith using a valuable item, such as a book, trinket, pot, mug, small plant, or photograph. Upon tasting the unique tea, Zenith becomes curious about the difference between tea and coffee and asks Alta how to brew the latter for the businessmen. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks a revelation for Zenith.

Utilizing the Infinite Path, Zenith introduces coffee beans to the forest, enabling them to grow in the clearing. Detailed instructions for harvesting and brewing these beans are then added to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

After Zenith's intervention, coffee beans begin to grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. Players can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, storing them in their ingredients pocket or carrying them by hand. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, the beans must be cleaned. Place them in the dishwasher and wait for them to be delivered by the dish trains to the tea room.

To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker and heat it as required. Use one coffee bean per brew, though additional beans or other ingredients can be added based on customer requests. Kick the gear to pour the water into the infuser, then into the kettle below, and finally decant the brew into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides an alternative beverage option for other customers. Even Boro, though not a fan, is willing to give it a try.

That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
