The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing new endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 includes crucial story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch launch.
Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this story, offering a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the Lingering Shadows campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. However, completing prior storylines is recommended to avoid spoilers and enhance understanding. The Lingering Shadows campaign comprises:

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.
Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. To unlock this campaign, complete both the leveling and Level 80 campaigns (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).
If unsure of your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). If Khadgar is present (after January 7th), you can receive his quest. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this unlocks the Fate of the Kirin Tor achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
