Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token for every 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch's release.
The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks, allowed players to accumulate Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Any remaining tokens could already be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency used in Timewalking events.
Blizzard's decision to permanently retire Bronze Celebration Tokens after January 7th prompted this automatic conversion. This ensures players won't retain useless currency entries. The conversion ratio mirrors the in-event exchange rate (1:20).
While Patch 11.1 lacks an official release date, February 25th is a strong contender. This aligns with Blizzard's recent release schedule, considering the holiday season and the timing of the Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (January 14th - February 17th, and ongoing until February 24th respectively).
This likely means the conversion will happen after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. Timewarped Badges can be used across various Timewalking campaigns, with rewards remaining permanently available. Players can therefore stockpile their badges for future events.
