Six Xbox Game Pass titles are departing on January 15th, likely around midnight local time. This includes both single-player and multiplayer games, impacting subscribers who rely on the service for online gaming.
The rotating nature of the Xbox Game Pass catalog sees games added and removed approximately every two weeks. The latest batch of removals includes:
- Common'hood: Cloud, Console, PC (Added July 2023, Estimated playtime: 23-36 hours)
- Escape Academy: Cloud, Console, PC (Added July 2022, Estimated playtime: 5-6 hours)
- Exoprimal: Cloud, Console, PC (Added July 2023, Estimated playtime: 28-39 hours)
- Figment: Journey Into the Mind: Cloud, Console, PC (Added January 2024, Estimated playtime: 5-6.5 hours)
- Insurgency: Sandstorm: Cloud, Console, PC (Added November 2022, Estimated playtime: 80-118 hours)
- Those Who Remain: Cloud, Console, PC (Added January 2024, Estimated playtime: 6-8 hours)
Half of these games offer multiplayer experiences, with Exoprimal and Insurgency: Sandstorm being entirely multiplayer-focused. Escape Academy, notable for its acclaimed co-op mode, has enjoyed the longest tenure on Game Pass, having been available since July 2022.
While Escape Academy is leaving Xbox Game Pass, PC players can claim it for free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th. Removal times vary, but most games are typically removed near the end of the scheduled day.
The next wave of removals is anticipated on January 31st, with details expected alongside the January 2025 Game Pass additions. Confirmed additions include Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, all slated as day-one releases. Further announcements are anticipated around January 23rd, coinciding with the Xbox Developer Direct.
