Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, is letting fans decide its next merchandise line! A whopping 100 bizarre and iconic items are up for grabs, with the top two vote-getters slated for production within the next two years.
While the voting page is Japanese-only, fans worldwide can participate via the official website. The options range from standard anniversary hoodies and pencil cases to truly outlandish items directly inspired by the series' memorable moments.
Among the more unusual choices are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's oversized traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.
2025 marks not only the anniversary but also the release of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on February 21st. While a second major release in the same year might seem ambitious, RGG Studio's prolific output in recent years—nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth—suggests it's entirely possible.
