YouTube personality Corey Pritchett, known for his engaging online content, is facing serious allegations. He's been charged with two counts of aggravated kidnapping, and reportedly fled the country shortly afterward, leaving fans shocked.

Pritchett, whose YouTube career began in 2016, has amassed a substantial following across two channels, "CoreySSG" (approximately 4 million subscribers) and "CoreySSG Live" (over 1 million subscribers). His videos, ranging from family vlogs to pranks, have attracted millions of views, with one popular video exceeding 12 million views.

The alleged kidnapping incident occurred on November 24, 2024, in southwest Houston. According to ABC13, Pritchett allegedly held two women, aged 19 and 20, against their will at gunpoint after a day of activities. He reportedly drove them at high speed on I-10, confiscated their phones, and threatened to kill them, expressing anxieties about someone targeting him and mentioning a prior car fire incident. The women eventually escaped and contacted authorities.

Pritchett's Flight and Mocking Video

Charged on December 26, 2024, Pritchett had already departed for Doha, Qatar, on December 9th, possessing a one-way ticket. He's now believed to be in Dubai, where he posted a video seemingly mocking the warrants and his situation, describing himself as "on the run." This contrasts with the serious nature of the accusations and the ongoing legal proceedings. The case highlights a concerning trend, as other online personalities, like former YouTube streamer Johnny Somali (facing separate legal issues in South Korea), also face significant legal challenges.

The future of this case is uncertain. Whether Pritchett will return to the US to face the charges remains unknown. The incident draws parallels to the 2023 kidnapping of YouTuber YourFellowArab in Haiti, a harrowing experience he later documented.
