Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest is now available for mobile devices. This officially licensed RPG was developed by the Hong Kong-based studio Zenifun Technology. It faithfully recreates Yoshihiro Togashi's universe of spirit detectives, demon realms, and legendary martial arts tournaments for players.
The original manga series first launched in November 1990. Created by Yoshihiro Togashi, its unique tone was inspired by the author's passion for horror cinema, Buddhist mythology, and supernatural lore. It masterfully combined classic manga elements: intense street brawls, memorable characters, underworld bureaucracy, and epic demonic tournaments.
What is Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest about?
Faithful to the original manga and anime, the game begins at the iconic starting point. You follow Yusuke Urameshi, a 14-year-old street punk, who sacrifices his life to save a child from a speeding car.
This kicks off a bizarre journey through the afterlife, where Yusuke must prove himself to become an Underworld Detective. He tackles increasingly dangerous supernatural cases as the story builds toward high-octane combat sequences.
You can build teams with characters like Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, Genkai, Younger Toguro, Sensui, and Yomi. Each fighter contributes distinct abilities, allowing you to experiment with team compositions and uncover powerful synergies.
The game features a gacha collection system, where acquiring your favorite characters is a core part of the experience. You can battle through PvE content and summon heroes in the Demon World, or test your skills in competitive PvP and Guild-vs-Guild matches within the Dark Tournament mode.
