HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in ZZZ version 1.1, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content.
Updated December 24, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: The meta shifts constantly. For instance, Grace, initially a top performer, has become less relevant with the introduction of numerous powerful Anomaly units, particularly the overpowered Miyabi.
S-Tier
S-Tier Agents excel in their roles and synergize effectively within teams.
- Miyabi: Exceptional Frost damage dealer. Requires strategic play to maximize her devastating potential.
- Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, boasting significantly higher Assault Anomaly Crit damage. While Anomaly units are generally slower, her raw power earns her an S-rank.
- Yanagi: Excels at triggering Disorder, requiring only an existing Anomaly effect on the enemy, making her ideal alongside Miyabi.
- Zhu Yuan: A high-DPS Agent using Shotshells. Highly effective with Stun and Support characters; particularly strong with Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1.
- Caesar: Redefines defensive Agents. Provides exceptional protection, significant buffs, powerful debuffs, and crowd control, scaling with Impact for easy stuns.
- Qingyi: A versatile Stunner, quickly building Daze and significantly increasing damage against stunned enemies. While excellent, Lycaon surpasses her in Ice teams.
- Lighter: A Stun Agent with substantial buffs, ideal for Fire and Ice teams.
- Lycaon: An Ice Stunner who reduces enemy Ice resistance and boosts ally Daze DMG, essential for Ice teams.
- Ellen: An Ice Attack Agent synergizing exceptionally with Lycaon and Soukaku, delivering powerful hits after enemy stuns and buffs.
- Harumasa: A free-to-obtain Electric Attack Agent who delivers high damage with proper setup.
- Soukaku: A Support Agent buffing Ice units, particularly effective with Ellen and Lycaon.
- Rina: A Support Agent dealing respectable damage and providing PEN (defense ignore) to allies, excelling with Shock characters.
A-Tier
A-Tier Agents are strong in specific team compositions but may be outperformed by S-Tier options in general.
- Nicole: An Ether Support, controlling enemies and boosting Ether DMG, but less effective with non-Ether DPS.
- Seth: A solid shield and support, but less impactful than top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar.
- Lucy: Provides off-field DMG and ATK% buffs, improving with synergy.
- Piper: Relies heavily on her EX Special Attack, effective within Anomaly teams to trigger Disorder.
- Grace: Still relevant for Anomaly builds, but less impactful compared to newer options.
- Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun character, effective in Fire teams and synergizing well with Ben.
- Anby: A reliable Stunner, but easily interrupted compared to others in her class.
- Soldier 11: Straightforward high-damage Fire Attack Agent.
B-Tier
B-Tier Agents have some utility but are outclassed by other options.
- Ben: A defensive character with parry mechanics, but slow and limited team benefits.
- Nekomata: High AoE damage but heavily reliant on team support, potentially improving with future updates.
