The core gameplay revolves around the "Z: Resurgence" mode, introducing a zombie infection spreading across the battlefield. Strategic alliances and diplomatic maneuvering become paramount to survival. The relentless zombie threat necessitates the use of new structures: Vaults and Havens. These are crucial for deploying immune soldiers, as standard troops are vulnerable to infection and may reanimate as hostile undead.
Season 15 also introduces the Drone Operator unit, a versatile support unit capable of deploying various drones. These include Explosive Drones for bypassing enemy defenses and Sabotage Drones for damaging structures from a distance. The Drone Operator's reconnaissance capabilities provide invaluable scouting without risking your own units.
