CrazyGames is excited to launch the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, a 10-day global game development marathon set to kick off from April 25th to May 5th. This event is a collaboration with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, aiming to foster the creation of innovative web-based multiplayer games. Indie developers from around the world are invited to participate and compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers have the freedom to unleash their creativity and develop unique multiplayer experiences.
Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. In partnership with Photon, CrazyGames will provide support throughout the event and offer the chance for winning games to be published on their platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, providing insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, highlighted the significance of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
