Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing the release date to a later, unspecified time in 2025. This decision comes just three weeks before the originally scheduled March 25th launch, following a closed beta that received overwhelmingly negative feedback.

In a Bluesky post on March 7th, 2025, Tripwire acknowledged the shortcomings of the closed beta. They stated their commitment to delivering a game that both innovates and stays true to the core Killing Floor experience. The developer cited issues with performance, stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel as key areas needing improvement.

Player feedback from the beta was scathing, with many describing the game as "insanely clunky," "unpolished," and "glitch-ridden." Criticism extended to the game's shift away from its horror roots towards a more sci-fi aesthetic, and the character/class locking system implemented during the beta. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made the Killing Floor series special.

Tripwire concluded their announcement by expressing gratitude for player support and promising further updates as development progresses.
