A New Benchmark for Capcom

Monster Hunter Wilds is Capcom's Fastest Selling Game, Moving 8 Million Copies in 3 DaysMonster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has officially claimed the title of Capcom's fastest-selling game, achieving over 8 million units sold in just three days. This remarkable feat marks a significant milestone in Capcom's history.

Prior to this announcement, SteamDB data revealed MH Wilds' impressive launch, boasting over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom attributes this success to a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing global game showcases and an open beta test, effectively introducing the game to a wide audience.

Addressing Critical Bugs with Latest Patch

MH Wilds has deployed a crucial hotfix (Ver.1.000.04.00) addressing several game-breaking bugs across all platforms, as announced by the official Monster Hunter Status account on Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025.

This update resolves issues such as the inaccessibility of the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features, difficulties accessing the Monster Field Guide, and a critical bug halting story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Online play now requires this update.

While this patch tackles numerous problems, some issues remain, including a network error triggered by SOS flares and inconsistencies with Palico weapon attacks. These multiplayer-related bugs are slated for resolution in a future update.
