No Return Mode Updates:

Two new characters, Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I, are being added to No Return Mode. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle with access to a custom pump shotgun and double rewards from drops, while being stronger against melee attacks but unable to dodge. Marlene follows a "Risk Taker" playstyle with a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are being introduced to No Return Mode:

  • Overlook: Set high above Seattle with vertical gameplay, reminiscent of a Seraphites encounter.
  • School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina faced off against the W.L.F. in the campaign.
  • Streets: Set in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood of Seattle.
  • Nest: Familiar to players who played as Abby in an Infected-infested building.

All new No Return content, including new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 concurrently with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.

PSN Sign-In Incentives:

Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

PS5 players can also unlock Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

Insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet:

Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us, recently discussed Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in an interview with Alex Garland. Druckmann shared that the game, which has been in development for four years, explores themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, starring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.

HBO's The Last of Us TV Series:

The PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered comes ahead of Season 2 of HBO's adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted from Season 1.
