PointCrow, a well-known Twitch personality, completed an exceptionally difficult Pokémon FireRed playthrough after an astounding number of resets—thousands, over a 15-month period. The "Kaizo IronMon" challenge elevates the standard Nuzlocke experience to extreme levels.
Using only one Pokémon, victory over the Elite Four seemed nearly impossible. Yet, after countless challenging battles, his level 90 Flareon delivered the final blow to Champion Blue's Dugtrio, securing victory. Overwhelmed with emotion, PointCrow exclaimed, "3,978 resets and a dream! Let’s go!"
This challenge, a particularly demanding variant of the "IronMon Challenge," restricts players to a single Pokémon with randomized stats and movesets for all trainer battles. Furthermore, only Pokémon with a base stat total under 600 are permitted, with exceptions for Pokémon that evolve to exceed this limit.
