Unlocking the radio code for your car's audio system has never been easier, thanks to our comprehensive radio code generator. Compatible with a wide range of car brands including Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Chrysler, Jeep, Mercedes, and more, our tool can calculate your radio's activation code instantly. All you need is the serial number from your car's radio or navigation system.
To find the serial number, look for the label attached to the side of your radio unit. You may need to partially remove the audio unit to access it. Once you locate the serial number, which is often near the barcode, take a clear picture of it. Here are some examples of serial numbers for different car brands:

Our generator boasts high compatibility with various car makes and popular radio models such as Blaupunkt, Becker, Alpine, 6000CD, 6006CD, SONY, 4500RDS E-O-N, 5000RDS, 3000RDS, Travelpilot, RNS MDF, Concert, Gamma, Symphony, RNS300/RNS310/RNS500/RNS510, and MF2910.
To enter your radio code, follow these steps:
- Press the pre-determined button repeatedly until the first digit of the code appears on the screen.
- Repeat the process for buttons 2, 3, and 4 to enter the remaining digits.
- Ensure you have entered the radio code correctly and confirm. The confirm button varies by model: it could be 5, *, or > (arrow right). For example, on Ford 6000CD, confirm with 5; on Sony units, use *; and for most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat models, use > (arrow right).
If your radio displays "SAFE," "LOCKED," "WAIT," or "ERROR," it's due to a protection system against brute force code entry. For a 4-digit code, the maximum number of attempts is 9999, but to prevent this, radios may lock after three unsuccessful tries.
For Ford radios:
- If you see "WAIT," leave the radio powered ON for 30 minutes.
- If "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10" appears, hold button 6 for ten seconds to get another three attempts.
- If "LOCKED13" is displayed, you have a semi-permanent block that can only be fixed by a dealer.
For VW (Volkswagen) radios:
- After three unsuccessful attempts, the radio will display "SAFE" or "SAFE2." To re-enter a code, leave the unit on for 60 minutes.
