Published under DC's All In initiative, this villain-centric story brings together two iconic antagonists. While seemingly an unlikely pairing, both characters hold special significance for the creators - Cheetah featured prominently in Rucka's Wonder Woman runs, while Cheshire was central to Scott's work on Secret Six with Gail Simone.
DC's official synopsis describes the series:
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League follows the mastermind thieves as they carefully plan and execute an impossible heist targeting the most secure location in the DC Universe. To succeed, they must assemble an elite team capable of outsmarting Earth's greatest heroes while avoiding betrayal as they pursue one of the DCU's most dangerous artifacts.
Their ambitious mission faces immense obstacles - from cutting-edge orbital defenses and an advanced AI security system to interference from the world's mightiest superheroes.
"I won't bury the lede," Rucka stated. "This is a team of villains, or at least morally questionable characters. None have legitimate access to the Justice League Watchtower - we're deliberately making their task nearly impossible. But for Cheetah, this represents an existential mission she refuses to abandon, regardless of the obstacles."
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1 launches August 6, 2025.
