Final Fantasy XVI Launches on PC September 17th

Square Enix has officially announced the highly anticipated PC launch of Final Fantasy XVI on September 17th. This announcement is accompanied by positive news regarding the franchise's future PC presence, with the director suggesting the possibility of future titles launching simultaneously across multiple platforms.

The PC version will be available for $49.99, while the Complete Edition, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions, will cost $69.99. A playable demo is currently available, offering a preview of the prologue and an "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode. Progress from the demo carries over to the full game.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai highlighted the PC version's enhanced capabilities, stating, "we've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and you can choose from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
