"Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remake to Feature Major Game Mechanics Overhaul"

Exciting news has surfaced from MP1st about an unannounced remake of *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion*. This intriguing information comes from the portfolio of an unnamed developer at Virtuos Studio, rather than from typical insider sources. The project, powered by Unreal Engine 5, promises a comprehensive reimagining of the classic game with significant updates to gameplay mechanics.

Virtuos Studio is reportedly working on a complete overhaul of *Oblivion*. This includes revamping core mechanics such as stamina, stealth, attack blocking, archery, damage reactions, and the user interface. For instance, the new blocking mechanics are inspired by the dynamic and engaging systems found in Soulslike games, aiming to address the original's lackluster blocking experience. Additionally, the damage calculation system is being reworked to include visible reactions to hits, making combat more immersive. Stamina management is set to become more intuitive, and both the UI and archery systems will be updated to align with modern gaming trends.

Originally, according to leaked Microsoft documents mentioned by MP1st, the plan was to simply remaster *Oblivion*. However, the project has since evolved into a full-fledged remake, promising a fresh take on the beloved RPG.

MP1st has also confirmed through its sources that the *Oblivion* remake will not be featured at the upcoming Developer_Direct. Nonetheless, there is buzz about a possible release later this year, keeping fans eagerly awaiting further announcements.
